A couple weeks ago, senior Sierra Sturgeon represented Meridian on a student panel for Leadership Midland. Speaking to a group 30-40 Midland professionals, Sierra shared her passion for science and learning. Alongside students from Bullock Creek, HH Dow, and Midland High, Sierra provided the group insight on how young Midland County students think about the world they live in.
Due to safety concerns, we strongly discourage the use of Barden Road when coming to school. The reason is pretty straight-forward: there is no left turn lane on M-30 at Barden Road. There is a turn lane in front of the school. Turning left off of M-30 at Barden Road is simply more dangerous.
The end of the first marking period is this Friday, November 4th. Teachers will have grades in by the middle of next week. Report cards will be uploaded to Skyward after that. Please note that paper report cards will only be sent home by mail at parent request.
Congratulations to Leeann Whaley for being our October Student of the Month. For those who do not know Leeann, she is a senior attending Delta College for her second year. She is currently taking statistics and anatomy, and intends to transfer the college credits she earns while in high school toward a pre-medical bachelors degree at Harvard, Duke, Tulane, U of M, MSU, or CMU. When all is said and done, Leeann wants to be a Physician's Assistant.
