Three Numbers Can Save a Life
Meridian Public Schools is committed to the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and families. We are sharing this important reminder from the Midland County Department of Public Health. 💙
If you or someone you know is struggling, help is available:
📞 9-1-1 – For emergencies
Call 911 if someone is unconscious, overdosing, hurting themselves, or in immediate danger. If you suspect an overdose and have naloxone (Narcan), use it first, then call 911 and stay with the person.
🆘 9-8-8 – Suicide & Crisis Lifeline
Call or text 988 if you or someone you know is experiencing emotional distress, thoughts of suicide, or struggling with substance use. Free, private, and available 24/7.
🤝 2-1-1 – Help Finding Resources
Call or text 211 for help with housing, food, utilities, mental health services, and more.
Students are also encouraged to speak with a trusted adult — a parent, teacher, counselor, or school staff member.
