Good afternoon Mustangs, The Midland County Department of Public Health has issued a press release regarding respiratory health considerations following the wildland fire in Sanford. Weare using the Air Quality Index (AQI) to guide our decisions about outdoor activities. Currently, Sanford is in the “good” range, therefore students will be going outside this afternoon for outdoor activities. We will continue to monitor the air quality on campus and utilize the AQI as a key tool in our decision-making process. As always, the safety of our students and staff is our top priority. We will remain in contact with the Midland County Department of Public Health, Jerome Township Fire Department, and Midland County 911 to monitor the situation. We will provide updates as needed. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out. Thank you, and have a great day! #ReachHigher #MeridianMustangs
