Meridian Elementary Staff and Students were able to learn about, and see, a reindeer this week. Tom and Holly Valent were kind enough to share their reindeer, Blitzen, with students and staff . They also brought along knowledgeable helpers, Bill Church, Clinton McLain, and Shianne Bowers. Thank you for assisting our students #ReachHigher by giving them a meaningful and memorable learning experience!

Last week Meridian Elementary staff and students celebrated kindness week with kindness missions! Some of the missions that we participated in were:
• “Kick off” kindness week by wearing sports attire
• Teacher Tuesday, kids wrote nice notes to teachers
• Writing/drawing a kind note to someone
• Compliment Candy Day
• “Kind”a Craft Day
• “Scary” cool to be kind
We ended the week with students reading to younger grade levels and being “scary” cool to be kind (where students and staff dressed up in their Halloween costumes. Make sure to ask your children what they learned from Kindness Week; as we still plan to incorporate things we learned throughout the school year!
A big shout out goes to Meridian Elementary Fourth Grade Students, Layne Gensel, Mason Bushong, Brady Bilina, Siler Rowley, and Maddison Hess, for planning and creating kindness activities for each day. Student Council Members and Advisors also assisted in making Kindness Week such a success!

The Meridian Elementary PTO Locker homecoming sale is today from 2:30-6:30pm. Weather permitting, it will be held on the front sidewalk; if it's raining, in the lobby!
