
The following are all the times that students not attending orientation can pick up schedules at MJHS:
*Monday, August 26th from 1:00 - 3:30 p.m.
*Tuesday, August 27th from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. during the open house.

The MJHS Open House is on Tuesday, August 27th from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. The 5th Grade Parent meeting will start at 6:00 p.m. in the gym.

5th Grade and New Student Orientation is this Monday, August 26th from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Student athletes must have a a current physical on file to participate in school sports. For your convenience over the summer, physical forms are located on the outside of the front doors at Meridian Jr. High School.

End-of-year report cards for MJHS students should be mailed on Friday, June 14th, so they should hopefully be arriving at homes by Monday, June 17th.

You're student will be receiving an award this year if you received an invitation to the ceremony in the mail. While the times were correct on the invitation, the day was not. The MJHS Awards Ceremonies will take place on TUESDAY, JUNE 4TH. Sorry for the confusion.

There will be a semi-formal 7th/8th Grade Dance on Friday, May 31st from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Tickets are $8.00 and are on sale during breakfast and lunch. Tickets will NOT sold on the day of the event or at the door.

There will be a 5th/6th Grade Fun Night on Wednesday, May 22nd from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. to celebrate the end of the school year. Tickets are $6.00 and are on sale during breakfast and lunch. Tickets will NOT be sold on the day of the event or at the door.

Last Friday, Governor Whitmer signed snow day forgiveness legislation for the four days that were declared as a State of Emergency. As a result of that legislation, Meridian Public Schools will return to the originally published school calendar and end with a half day on Thursday, June 6th. We thank you for your patience as we waited on our legislators in Lansing to take action.

The MJHS track meet scheduled for tonight, Thursday, May 2nd has been canceled due to a scheduling conflict in Houghton Lake. We will announce the make up date as soon as we know. Additionally, the MJHS track team will NOT have practice tonight.

In place of the cancelled track meet, the MJHS track team will still have practice tonight (April 16th) in the gym at the normal time.

Tonight's MJHS track meet in Houghton Lake has been cancelled and rescheduled for Thursday, May 2nd.

The MJHS March Newsletter is now available on the MJHS web site. It can be found in the 'News' column or by going to the 'From the Desk of the Principal' tab under 'Menu.'

The 7th/8th Grade Dance scheduled for Tuesday, March 19th has been cancelled due to lack of interest.

Friday, March 15th is a half-day of school, and MJHS students will be dismissed at 11:15 a.m.

An informational meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 20th at 5:30 p.m. in the MJHS cafeteria for parents of 6th, 7th, & 8th graders who are interested participating in track this year.
