📚 The Meridian Junior High School Library is growing—and we need your help!

We’re looking for donations of gently used, age-appropriate books to add to our collection. Our goal is to make sure every student can find a story that inspires them, sparks their imagination, and helps them discover the true love of reading. 💙 If you have books ready for a new home that may interest our students, please consider donating them to MJHS Library. Together, we can build a collection for all Mustangs to enjoy! 🐎 Books may be dropped off at the MJHS Office during school hours 8am-3pm. #MustangReaders #LibraryLove #BookDonation #MeridianMustangs #ReachHigher

Book Donations at MJHS

Students in Mrs. Pashak's 6th and 7th grade science classes enjoyed a visit from Elizabeth Egan from the Society of Plastics Engineers and Plastivan. They learned about the chemistry, history, processing, manufacturing, and sustainability of plastics and how the science and real-world applications relate to their everyday lives. #ReachHigher #MeridianMustangs

🎡🐎 Update for Mustang Families 💙🤍
We understand that many of you are concerned about the conflict between the start of the 2026–2027 school year and the 2026 Midland County Fair, and we want you to know that we are actively addressing it.

At Meridian, we value the role that 4-H and the fair play in the lives of our students and families. These experiences build responsibility, pride, and community—values we wholeheartedly support.

We are currently working on a revised school calendar for the 2026–2027 year and are committed to finding a solution that supports all Mustang families.

📎 The letter below from Superintendent Glann was emailed to all families and staff this morning. Please take a moment to review it for more details.

Meridian Public Schools would like to introduce some of our new staff members for the 2025-2026 school year! Be sure to follow our page over the next few days to meet all of the new faces around Meridian! #ReachHigher #MeridianMustangs #NewStaff

Welcome to MES 3rd/4th Grade Music Teacher, and MJHS/MECHS Band Teacher, James O'Connell! We sent each candidate some questions to answer about themselves this year:

What is your favorite food? Pizza!

What is your favorite thing about Meridian Public Schools: This may be biased, but instrumental program is something that I love that Meridian takes pride in. Band is something that students are good at and it's wonderful to see them thrive through music.

What are your hobbies? I love spending time outdoors, playing video games, spending time with friends and family, and playing my instrument. I love teaching band so much that I also spend most of my summer helping other bands in Michigan.

What brought you to our district? I graduated from Meridian in 2016, so getting the chance to come back home where my passion for music first began and share that excitement with students, feels like a full-circle moment.
