PSAT 8/9 and 10

PSAT 8/9

The PSAT 8/9 is the first in the SAT Suite of Assessments; it is aligned with the PSAT 10, PSAT/NMSQT and the SAT. The PSAT 8/9 provides a baseline which allows students and educators to gauge performance over time and pinpoints areas that need to be strengthened.

The PSAT 8/9 consists of an evidence-based reading and writing test and a math test.

The PSAT 8/9 is required for all Michigan 9th graders and will be taken on April 14th, 2020 as part of the state summative assessments at Meridian Early College High School.

In addition, the PSAT 8/9 will be required for the first time for all Michigan 8th graders and will be administered on April 14, 2020.

The SAT Suite of Assessments reports a vertical scale score so that students and educators can measure growth

PSAT 10

As part of the SAT Suite of Assessments, the PSAT 10 is aligned with the SAT and not only provides preview and practice for the PSAT/NMSQT and SAT, it allows students and educators to monitor progress over time and target areas in need of improvement.

PSAT 10 Components

The PSAT 10 is required for all Michigan 10th graders and will be taken on April 14, 2020 as part of the state summative assessments at Meridian Early College High School.
