Today, a team of MECHS learners engaged in the Peer to Peer Depression Awareness Campaign. Developed by the University of Michigan and facilitated by the Barb Smith Suicide Resource & Response Network, MECHS participants Josie Barriger, Gina Lewandowski, Kendal Holzinger, Blake Mager, Lauren Schroder, and Elizabeth Stoneburner worked together with other area youth to discuss mental health and illness, coping skills, and other best practices in the field to reduce suicide and address issues of mental health.
